I had the pleasure of photographing the cast and crew of the Werewolf’s Curse, Hair today Gone Tomorrow. They are currently in rehearsal for their performances the first weekend in April. They are the Clemente Players, directed by Dr. Sharon Willis (pictured in the front). All proceeds of the play go to benefit the Clemente Class, which is a pioneering educational experiment for the most needy of our society designed to fight the cycle of poverty by providing higher humanities education to those who would never otherwise have that opportunity. This year, I (Mell) am performing in “Werewolf’s Curse or Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow.” It is a hilarious spoof on the old Hollywood Horror movies and includes a kooky carnival troupe and a mad scientist who happen upon an engaged couple with the groom suffering from a werewolf bite.
Tickets are $15 each, and performance dates are:
Friday, April 3rd at 8pm
Saturday, April 4th at 8pm
Sunday, April 5th at 2pm
For tickets, please contact me. All performances are at the 920 building on Trident Technical College’s main campus on Rivers Ave in Charleston.
As always, the play supports the Charleston Clemente Class is a free college-level humanities course through Trident Technical College that is offered to the disadvantaged in the Charleston community.
*Each performance includes a carnival pre-show starting a half hour before the show, which will feature several students from the Clemente class.
