A foggy morning on cat feet.

Sometimes getting up at 5:30 AM pays off. There should be an aphorism about that.

Charleston Wedding Photography -Julia and Andy’s Dual Engagement Session at Boone Hall Plantation and the beach
by Mell Bell on Sep.20, 2011, under engagement
Julia and Andy have something about their relationship that is just too adorable for words, so here’s something that I think explains it way better than I ever could.
Can’t wait for your wedding next year!

Engagement Portrait Session in Downtown Charleston
by Nathan Bell on Jan.30, 2011, under engagement
I’m so thankful that Vandana, Tiru, and I were able to get together for this session. In a few weeks, I’m looking forward to photographing their traditional Indian ceremony in Spartanburg, and I think that this session really helped us click so that the wedding day will be that much better. Enjoy!
What a ride!
by Nathan Bell on Jan.21, 2011, under engagement
For our 5 year anniversary last August, Mell and I went to Knobles Amusement park in Pennsylvania (a way cool vintage park that Mell went to as a kid). Mike and Rachel Mizzell were extraordinarily generous enough to fly up to take our pictures (from which we have an AMAZING collection of anniversary images!).
At the end of the evening, Mell’s old friends, Daphney and Nate came to have their engagement pictures for their wedding the next day, and Mike, Rachel, Mell and I had a field day. Here’s one image that Mell and I got on the twirling swing ride. Mell is on one swing, and I’m shooting from another, to take pictures of the couple behind us (whew!). The Mizzells snapped some shots of us pulling off this maneuver (2nd image).
Laura and Joey’s Engagement Session in Lexington, KY
by Nathan Bell on Nov.22, 2010, under engagement
Laura and Joey really wanted to have their engagement session up in their hometown of Lexington, so they flew me up for the day (Halloween, incidentally) for a day of shooting. We started out in downtown, and then moved to what is redoubtably the most beautiful ranch I’ve ever been, where prize-winning race horses are bred, raised, and trained. One of my favorite shoots of the year. Click the box in the lower right to see the full screen version.
Engagement Shoot on the National Mall
by Nathan Bell on Sep.21, 2010, under engagement
In August, Mell and I had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC to meet some of our clients for a shoot in their home neighborhood – The National Mall and the Capitol! We walked around for a couple hours, but here’s a few highlights ![]()

Gil & Nicole's Engagement Book! Check it out!
by valerieschooling on Jan.26, 2009, under album designs, engagement
I’m always so excited when I post new book designs! Here I am on a rainy Monday afternoon, and I can’t think of much I’d rather do than enjoy being all warm & cozy indoors playing with photoshop and our other design programs. (Yes, I realize how geeky that makes me and I’m cool with it, haha!)
I might say this a lot, but I truly had such a fun time on Gil & Nicole’s engagement shoot! I couldn’t be more thrilled to share more of their photos with you! (And can you blame me…my camera loves them!)
Check it out:

I also posted a few of these for Gil & Nicole’s Facebook-sharing in our 2008 Engagements album!
